Kennedy Perez is an indie singer-songwriter based in Grand Rapids. Their music is rooted in real experiences navigating queerness, identity, heartbreak, and immigration. Writing in both English and Spanish, Kennedy switches between the two as naturally as they live between cultures.

Influenced by artists like Palace, French Kicks, and Ruzzi, Kennedy crafts songs that are soft yet emotional sometimes nostalgic, sometimes cinematic. Their work creates space for reflection and connection, offering listeners a sense of comfort and belonging.

In April 2025, Kennedy performed internationally in Veracruz, Mexico milestone moment in their growing career. Their debut EP is set for release on June 20, with a celebration show at The Pyramid Scheme on June 19.

At the core of Kennedy’s music is the desire to connect. If someone hears their own story in a song, then Kennedy has done what they set out to do.
